مواد مؤثره: اسانس (کـامـازولیـن، پروکـامـازولیـن، آزولین، سینئـول، تریپنئـول، تـوژن، سسکـی ترپن، سیمـن، کارواکرول)، گلیکوزید آلکالوئیدی (آکی لئین)، اسیـدایـزووالـریـانیـک، اسیـد سالیسیلیک، مـواد تلـخ، فلاونوئیـد (آپـی ژنیـن)، وبـی فـلاون و ایزوفلاون، تانن، لاکتون (سانتونین، آرته میـزیـن)، ماتریکـارین، دی استیل ماتریکارین. سسکواترپن ، کارواکرول، گلیکوزیدهای سیانوژنیک ،بتونیکین و استاکسیدین ، کوئرستین.
موارد مصرف: دفع کننده اقسام كرم های دستگاه گوارش
مقدار و طریقۀ مصرف: هر 6 ساعت 2 عدد قرص با کمی شربت عسل میل شود.
عوارض جانبی: در صورت مصارف طولانی مدت و خارج از دوز درمانی مضر کلیه بوده که مصلح آن انیسون است.
نکات قابل توصیه: حداکثر مصرف 10-5 روز می باشد.تداخلات کم : آانتی اسیدها، H2 بلاکرها و PPIs همانند امپرازول و … تداخلات متوسط: لیتیم، باربیتورات و داروهای ضد انعقاد و ضد پلاکت
دوهفته قبل از جراحی به دلیل اثرات ضد پلاکتی بومادران، مصرف دارو قطع شود.
موارد منع مصرف: در افرادی که خونریزی دارند و مبتلا به کولیت اولسراتیو هستند و افرادی که داروهای رقیق کننده خون استفاده می کنندو در دوران بارداری و شیردهی.
آثار فارماکولوژیک و مکانیسم اثر: بیماری هایی با منشا میکروبی و قارچی در زمرۀ شناخته شده ترین بیماری های می باشند که همواره گریبانگیر انسان بوده است. ترکیبات تشکیل دهنده این فرآورده، درصد بالایی از ترکیبات ضد میکروبی و ضد قارچی را نشان می دهد. در اسانس این فرآورده ترکیبات فنلی ضد میکروبی شامل کامازولین، پروکامازولین، آزولین، سینئول، تریپنئول، توژن، سسکی ترپن، سیمن، کارواکرول وجود دارد. بومادران به عنوان یک گیاه ضد پارازیت شناخته می شود. فلاونوئيدهاي گياهي و تركيبات فنولي فعال ترين مواد هستند. به نظر می رسد که اثرات ضد Limnatis nilotica ofararrow به عنوان یک نتیجه از اثر تجمعی چندین ماده فعال و آشیلین ، توژون ، اوژنول ، ژانول و ترپینول است. بيش از ساير عناصر ضد پارازيتي آپاژنين ، لوتئولين و کوئرستين به عنوان تركيبات اصلي بومادران و در فرم هاي گليكوزيد 7-O- گلوكوزيد و 7-مالونيل يافت مي شوند. عبارت دیگر Apigenin ، Luteolin و Quercetin روی کرم ها بیشتر موثرند. بنابراین ، اثرات ضد پارازیت قطعی است. به غیر از فلاونوئیدها از بین عناصر فعال ، ساپونین ها و روغنهای اساسی ترپینول ، سینول ، سسكواترپن، دارای اثرات ضد انگلی بیشتری نسبت به سایر مواد هستند.
اثر فارماکولوژیک دارو از منظر مبانی طب سنتی: از نظر نقطه نظر مبانی طب سنتی، ترکیبی که دارای سه خصلت تلخی، گرمی درجه ی 3 و قدرت کشندگی کرم باشد، می تواند تمامی انواع کرم های دراز، حلقوی، ریز را از بین میبرد. از طرفی طب سنتی مدعی است که در میان اخلاط، تنها خلط بلغم به عنوان ماده ی سرشتی اصلی تولید کرم محسوب می شود. هنگامی که بلغم در روده جمع شود و متعفن و ماندگار گردد شرایط ایجاد کرم را فراهم می آورد. اسباب به وجود آمدن بلغم، شامل نوع خوراک(غذاهای بلغم ساز که عبارتند از غذاهای نرم و لزج از قبیل گندم، لوبیا، باقالی، آرد منفرد، گوشت خام و ناپخته، سبزیجات، میوه های تر، خوراک روی خوراک خوردن، خوراکی های چرب، بعد از غذا با آب گرم آب تنی کردن یا بعد از خوراک و جماع به حمام رفتن و در حال سیری جماع کردن، پرشدگی غیر طبیعی دستگاه گوارش،
